Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 18, 2026

Our approach

dwelld is designed to be privacy-respecting and anonymous-friendly. You can contribute without creating an account, and we collect only what is needed to run a public intelligence platform.

What we collect

  • Contributions you submit — comments, questions, observations, photos, and forecasts (including the reasoning, factors, and confidence you provide).
  • Attribution you choose — a display name and a self-declared perspective (for example, Buyer, Neighbor, or Resident), both of which are public.
  • Optional account data — if you sign in, we use your authentication provider’s identity to attribute your contributions. Sign-in is optional and never required to contribute.
  • Basic technical data — standard request and log information used to operate and secure the service.
  • A privacy-preserving integrity signal — to protect our community forecasts from coordinated manipulation, we derive a rotating, one-way technical signal from your request (a generalized form of your network address and a coarse browser category). It is non-reversible, is never shown publicly or sold, and is used only as one of many factors that estimate how independent contributions are.

Everything you post is public

Because dwelld is public-only, your contributions and your chosen display name and perspective are visible to everyone, and may feed public, aggregated intelligence such as the Forecast and Emerging Intelligence signals. Please do not include sensitive personal information — yours or anyone else’s — in anything you submit.

dwelld is public-only and provides no private messaging, private profiles, or any user-to-user contact channel. There is no private contributor visibility, and you should never share or request private contact information through any field.

How we use information

We use this information to display and operate the Platform, generate aggregated intelligence (such as the Forecast), screen content for safety and Fair Housing compliance, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Content screening

Submitted text is automatically screened at intake — including by an automated service — to enforce our Signal Quality Standards and Fair Housing Policy. Screening outcomes and moderation actions are recorded for compliance.

Protecting forecast integrity

To keep our community forecasts trustworthy, we use an Intelligence Integrity Engine that looks for signs of coordinated manipulation. As part of this, we compute a rotating, one-way signal from technical details of your request — such as a generalized form of your network address and a coarse browser category. This signal is non-reversible, rotates regularly so it cannot be used to track you over time, is never displayed publicly or sold, and is only one of many factors used to weigh how independent contributions are. We never use it to identify you personally, and it never uses protected characteristics.

Data retention and your choices

We retain contributions and moderation records as long as needed to operate the Platform and meet legal and compliance obligations. To request removal of content you submitted, or to ask a privacy question, email legal@dwelld.com.

Eligibility

dwelld is intended for adults. The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from people under 18.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
